I'm catching up on my blog since I have been on vacation. I like to remove myself from a computer/phone when I'm away. It's so nice! I didn't do something new everyday this week but being able to hang out with family is worth neglecting a blog post or two!
On Friday, Mrs. Baker taught me how to clean windows in such an easy way! With their beach house being on the beach, that beachy film gets on everything! The windows looking out over the ocean were gross because the last tenants used Windex, which evaporates quickly and becomes streaky. So the solution is water, Dawn, and a squeegee! You only need about 10 paper towels for 8-9 big windows.
Get a bowl with a cup or 2 of water and create a soapy mixture with the Dawn (or any dish soap). Soak a paper towel in the mixture and wipe the entire window. Then use the squeegee to "scrape" the liquid off in strips while drying the rubber strip every "scrape" or 2! And that's it! No streaks, no excess paper, and clean windows! It was quick and kind of fun too=) Thanks for the tip Momma Baker!
Before and after pictures are below... attempts at them at least! The sun made it hard to get good visuals of the gross vs. clean windows.
